1999 First-team All-American as a utility player. First-team All-Pacific Region and All-Pac-10 selection. Member of the All-Tournament Team at the College World Series and NCAA Regionals A starter in all 69 games, either in the circle or in left field. Pitched a no-hitter in her first collegiate game, striking out four in a 3-0 victory over Santa Clara on Feb. 5. Notched her second no-hitter of the year against Missouri at the Hallowell Chevrolet Classic on March 6. Also added four strikeouts in that game. Pitched the Bruins to wins over Fresno State and DePaul in the College World Series. Finished 13th in the NCAA final statistics with a 0.95 ERA. Was also 14th in the NCAA standings with a .871 winning percentage (27-4 record). One of UCLA s top hitters with a .357 batting average, a home run and 21 RBI. Tied with Christie Ambrosi for the team s longest hitting streak of the season, an 18-game streak that lasted from April 14-May 15.

Led Pacifica to a No. 1 national ranking and a USA Today Prep Softball National Championship her junior season. Posted a 17-2 record her senior season, helping her team to the CIF Division III championship and a No. 8 USA Today national ranking. Orange County and California Athllete of the Year in 1998. Summer Competition (1999 & 2000) Was an alternate on the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team Participated on the Central Park to Sydney tour, and made the trip to Australia. Spent the summer of 1999 with USA Softball, playing with the USA Blue team. USA Blue finished third at the Canada Cup, which was won by USA Gold. Gold medal winner at the 1999 U.S. Olympic Cup.
