Beginnings of a Basketball Star
Belinda was influenced by her brothers and close friends to play basketball way back 1989. Additionally, sports run in their blood. Belinda is related to Bill Snell who played Australian Rules football for the Essendon.
Having attended the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Belinda was a member of the AIS team which won the 1998-1999 WNBL championship. This team also included fellow WNBA players Lauren Jackson, Penny Taylor, Suzy Batkovic, and Kristen Veal to name a few.
This 26-year old basketball player is known as an excellent three-point shooter and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the finals of the World Challenge in July 2004.
