She scored 2,190 career basketball points. She was heralded as the best athlete Ocean County, New Jersey had ever produced. She played college soccer at Monmouth University.
She became a player for the team in 1997. In the 1998 Goodwill Games she helped team USA win gold by starting in both matches. In 2000 she helped team USA win silver at the Summer Olympic Games. In the next Summer Olympics she helped team USA win gold in what would be the final games for a few of her teammates, including Mia Hamm.
Her current (as of September 30, 2007) total of 174 international appearances is second only to teammate Kristine Lilly among all active players in the world. Only two men and ten women have ever played in more international matches.
She was a founding player for the New York Power. She played on that team for four seasons, 2001-2004.
