Hoff becomes one of a number of Olympians from her club team, the North Baltimore Aquatic Club. The team's pool is decorated with posters of past Olympic team members including Michael Phelps, Beth Botsford and Anita Nall. Like Hoff, they were all 15 or younger when they made the team. Hoff's family moved to Abingdon from Williamsburg, Va. last summer largely so she could swim for NBAC.
