A native of southern France, Surya Bonaly has won over American fans for her exuberance and style. The only woman on the tour to perform back flips, Bonaly always has been one of the most powerful female skaters. Not to mention that she is the only skater who lands back flips on one foot. A three-time World silver medalist, Surya is now in her 14th season with Champions on Ice. When she’s not skating with the tour, she most likely is performing somewhere else around the world. Although she competed for France, she now calls Las Vegas home and became an American citizen in 2004.
